ATTESTATION OF DOCUMENTS
If any document issued by authorities in India (such as birth and death certificates, affidavits, diplomas, marriage certificate and educational certificates issued by authorities in India ) are required to be presented to authorities in South Africa, these should be apostilled in India. For details, please check the website “Legalization of Documents” at https://mea.gov.in/apostille.htm.
How to Apply: Download the Miscellaneous Services Form and submit along with:

Self-attested copy of passport (first page and last page);

Self-attested copy of visa/work permit/residence permit;

In case of attestation of Salary Certificate, a letter on the letter head of the employer, stating designation/position, remuneration and period of employment/contract of the applicant along with bank statement where the salary is deposited every month duly attested by the bank;

For Opening of Bank account:Original and a copy of the form as prescribed by the concerned bank/institution for opening the bank account (to be signed before the Consular Officer)

Proof of Residential address in South Africa. This can be a copy of any one of the following:

(i) South African Driving license.

(ii) Water or landline telephone bill displaying applicant’s address

(iii) House Lease Agreement
-
(iv) State Identification Card
-
(v) Note: Bank/credit card/mobile phone statements are not accepted as residence proof
Note: Please carry originals of all the supporting documents to be presented to the Consular Officer (photocopies of which are to be attached with the application).
The High Commission/Consulate reserves the right to reject attestation of documents the contents of which are objectionable or contrary to the Rules.
